When in autumn 2005 San Keller was spending 40 days in Cairo he set out, furnished with broom, shovel and sieve, to collect in the street below his flat 1 gram of dust for each day he was staying. He asked a trader in precious metals to weigh the dust and give him the equivalent in gold, which he then had ground into fine dust. Before returning home he blew these 40 grams of gold dust into the air above the roofs of Khan el Khalili Bazaar. Back home San Keller commissioned a screen printer to print 40 sheets of paper with 1 gram of Cairo dust each for the edition.
